2nd Grade (Ms. Fuwa)

Hi! I'm Malia (the kids call me Ms. Fuwa). I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii then attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs. After college, I moved to Oakland, where I have lived for the past 11 years! I have been teaching for 8 years. I taught for 2 years in East Palo Alto before coming to Acorn Woodland. I have loved teaching at Acorn Woodland for the past 6 years. It is such a joy to see students grow their brains and their independence! I especially love getting to know our great families! When I'm not at school, I like to hike, swim, cook and eat!
